Hi ,

Before we get into today’s lesson, here is an important reminder:

On Day 21 at 7pm ET, I’ll be live on the Natural Heart Doctor channels on YouTube, Facebook, and X for:

Your 21-Day Blood Pressure Breakthrough: What to Do Next to Keep the Momentum Going

No registration required.

Now let’s talk about fiber.

Not because it is exciting.

Because it is important.

Fiber is one of those things that quietly helps many systems in the body work better.

And when those systems work better, blood pressure often becomes easier to improve.

Here is why fiber matters.

Fiber helps support better blood sugar control.

That matters because unstable blood sugar and high insulin can work against healthy blood pressure.

Fiber helps support fullness.

That matters because overeating and excess weight often make blood pressure harder to normalize.

Fiber helps support the gut.

That matters because digestion, inflammation, elimination, and the gut environment influence overall health more than most people realize.

Fiber also helps move things through the body.

That may not sound glamorous, but it matters.

A body that is not eliminating well often does not feel well.

Now here is the problem.

Most people are eating processed food, refined carbs, and low-quality packaged products.

That means they are getting plenty of calories, but not enough real nourishment and not enough fiber.

Then they wonder why they are hungry again quickly, why cravings stay high, why digestion is off, and why progress feels slow.

The answer is often not more willpower.

The answer is better food structure.

What does that look like?

Fiber from real food.

Some of the best sources include:

  • Vegetables

  • Berries

  • Avocados

  • Chia

  • Flax

  • Nuts

  • Seeds

  • legumes for those who tolerate them

That is a very different conversation than fake “high-fiber” bars and ultra-processed snack foods.

Today’s action step is simple:

Make a real effort to increase fiber from whole foods today.

A few easy ways:

  • add avocado to lunch

  • eat a large salad

  • double your vegetables at dinner

  • have berries instead of dessert

  • add chia or flax to a meal if you use them

The long-term goal is to work toward roughly 30–40 grams of fiber per day from real food, based on what your body tolerates.

Do not force that all at once if you are not used to it.

Build gradually.

Let your system adapt.

For today, do not underestimate the power of simple, fiber-rich real food.

It helps with fullness.

It helps with digestion.

It helps with blood sugar.

And all of that can help support healthier blood pressure.

To your heart health,

Dr. Jack Wolfson
